Wellworks For You Biometric Scorecard
In February 2020, Wellworks For You is officially launching a newly improved Biometric Scorecard for participants to track their biometric results and compare metric changes year after year. Previously, the “My Health Metrics” tracker allowed the user to view a table of their historical health metric data. Keeping our end-users in mind, we redesigned this popular portal feature to provide users with a more visually appealing and information filled scorecard. This feature allows participants to review their results and share them with their providers for review and more.
Why should my clients complete screenings?
A productive screening can target diseases that are prevalent in the current population. As the leading cause of death in the United States is heart disease and the second is cancer, there are several screening tests that can assist in early detection. By drawing a blood sample, your doctor can conduct a lipid profile to check your cholesterol and glucose levels.
The new Biometric Scorecard houses information related to each metric. For example, upon hovering over the Cholesterol, HDL metric, you will learn, “High density lipoproteins (HDL), is also known as the “good” cholesterol. HDL helps the body get rid of bad cholesterol in the blood. The higher the level of HDL cholesterol, the better. If your levels of HDL are low, your risk of heart disease increases. (Low: <49 Normal: 50-59.9 High: >=60)”
Heart Disease has identifying risk factors that physicians can detect when reviewing your biometric results after you complete your screening. Physicians can evaluate blood pressure, lipids (total cholesterol, LDL, and HDL) and blood sugar. Ensuring that routine screenings are in place is essential in the aid to understanding your overall health. Individuals with high LDL cholesterol have about twice the risk of heart disease as people with lower levels.
What is the benefit of the Biometric Scorecard?
Knowledge is power! Reviewing and understanding year over year data can help you to understand the changes in your body. Visiting your physician on a yearly basis to review your metrics will only assist in detecting critical health anomalies. With the new Biometric Scorecard feature, participants will have their metrics at the touch of their fingertips.
