- 3 ripe peaches, peeled and cut into chunks (about 3 cups)
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 ½ cups plain Greek yogurt
Puree peaches in a blender, add honey and yogurt and blend well. Process in ice cream maker until the mixture stiffens and begins clumping on the blades. Transfer to a container and freeze for two hours.
Don’t let the cottage cheese throw you. In addition to packing in 25 grams of protein per cup, this healthy ice cream is healthy and delicious.
- ½ cup cottage cheese
- ½ of a frozen banana
- ⅓ cup frozen blueberries
- 2-3 TBSP almond milk
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
Combine in a blender and process until smooth. Transfer to container and freeze two to three hours. Top with granola, coconut, melted peanut butter, or more blueberries!
Decadent chocolate and peanut butter may be the last thing that comes to mind when you think “healthy ice cream recipe” but this frozen treat only contains 108 calories per ½ cup serving.
- 2 frozen bananas, sliced
- 2 TBSP cocoa powder
- 2 TBSP creamy natural peanut butter
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- pinch salt
Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse, 15 seconds at a time until smooth, scraping the sides as you go. This may take a few minutes, but it’s worth the wait. Serve immediately or freeze in a container for up to five days.
Bring on the Healthy Store-Bought Ice Cream
