Situation
Dan, who was living with Type 2 Diabetes, struggled to control his blood sugar. His wife, Elaine, was looking to improve her overall health. In 2020, Dan's health worsened and he was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, which had a detrimental effect on his overall diabetes management and control.
Results
Through their partnership with Wellworks and their Orthus Health Diabetes Management Program, this couple experienced a greater quality of life. Dan saw significant improvement in his glucose levels while requiring no increase in medications. With the help of an Orthus Health Coach, his wife, Elaine, implemented lifestyle modifications which resulted in a better understanding of her overall health.
Dan and Elaine continue to work with their health coach today in order to maintain their progress towards a healthier life.
