IT Business Analyst

The Business Analyst acts as a liaison between technical personnel and business end-users in relation to business requirements, scope, and deliverables. This role also understands business implications of technical solutions, and works between business and technical parameters to define approaches that meet current and future needs. The Business Analyst analyzes complex problems and recommends creative solutions, identifies opportunities for process/system enhancements that drive efficiency, provides updates, and analysis on deliverable requirements and project status.

The Business Analyst is responsible for writing functional and technical user stories, backlog grooming, agile requirements (user stories etc.), QA testing, user acceptance testing, and other SDLC activities.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work with business users to define and analyze problems and align the most appropriate technical, application or configuration solutions
  • Drive business analysis and stories elaboration to enable healthy backlog
  • Ensure compliance with story readiness, Definition of Done (DoD), Acceptance criteria, and other agile business analysis practices
  • Work in cross-functional team partnering effectively with technical team, experience design team, product owners, and testers to provide end-to-end solutions to the function to address requirements
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and internal customer service organizations to support success and growth of products
  • Maintain product roadmap and standards that assure product development projects optimally align with business objectives
  • Define product validation strategy to deliver products that meet system and project expectations
  • Deliver process that supports the most efficient and secure solutions meeting business needs
  • Lead the overall functional solution design in the implementation of functional solution and provide functional subject matter expertise
  • Provide guidance on solution implementation methodology and recommend best practice approaches
  • Develops, maintains, and disseminates internal and external system documentation, including status updates; prepares procedural and customer documentation when required
  • Provides technical guidance and influences the work of others involved in system configuration solutions
  • Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of business analyst experience in healthcare/wellness or related field
  • Familiarity with basic SQL queries, Asana/Wrike or similar tool, Figma or other prototyping tools
  • Possesses a strong business acumen with product mindset
  • Understands Agile practices, and current/emerging technologies with a sense of existing or potential business usage
  • Experience in new product development as well as taking existing products to new markets
  • Able to comfortably present information to clients
  • Experience working with small teams
  • Self-driven with a sense of urgency to drive collaboration
  • Able to conduct analysis and produce work products
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments, independently determine solutions, and anticipate/prevent potential problems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to adhere to timelines, budgets, and schedules
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and extensive use of data query logic.SQL experience is a plus
  • Project lead experience a plus

Work Environment

  • This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
  • This position is a fully remote position, reporting into our home office in Malvern, Pa. Local candidates can have the option of hybrid work in office and remote if desired.
  • Because you will be handling confidential client information, you must work from your home office. You cannot work in a public location.
  • Computer and VPN access are provided. Employee must provide their own internet access.
  • This position’s hours will be Monday through Friday 9 – 5 ET

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • SQL: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Data & Technical Business Analysts: 1 year (Preferred)
